If you use Hangouts on iOS, you’re going to want to head into the App Store and download the app’s latest update.
Hangouts v4.0.0 is now rolling out to the iPhone and iPad, bringing with it a material design refresh. Google says that the app has an “improved user experience,” including a new attachments UI. This iOS app update actually looks quite a bit like that Hangouts for Android update that leaked out earlier this month, including updated chat bubbles.
Today’s Hangouts for iOS update also allows you to send multiple photos at once.
This new-look Hangouts app is pretty attractive, and it’s great to see it hitting iOS today, arriving even before the update launches on Android. Now that the updated Hangouts has hit iOS, though, I’d expect the refreshed UI to make its way to Android soon.
