Wondering where the DROID Turbo’s Android 5.1 update is? You’re not alone. Motorola knows that Turbo owners are getting restless, and so today the company gave an update on that update’s status.
Motorola’s David Schuster took to Google+ today to say that Moto is “still in the lab test cycle” with the DROID Turbo’s Android 5.1 update. Schuster explains that “things are looking good,” but that they still don’t have a launch date to share.
The DROID Turbo is a high-end smartphone, and it’s still one of Motorola and Verizon’s flagship devices. As a result, it’s no surprise that DROID Turbo owners are getting anxious about their Lollipop update, especially as devices like the Moto E (2nd Gen.) are getting updated to Android 5.1 while the Turbo is still on Android 4.4.4. Here’s to hoping that for the sakes of Motorola and Turbo owners, the Android 5.1 update rolls out soon.
How many of you have a DROID Turbo that’s waiting for Lollipop?
