Just days after Google opened sales of its Project Tango tablet to everyone, Qualcomm has revealed that it’s working with Google on some fresh Tango hardware.

Qualcomm is prepping a new Project Tango smartphone reference device that’ll be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and an Adreno 430 GPU. The other spec details of the device are scarce, but because it’s a Project Tango device, it’ll have  the depth camera, motion tracking camera, and RGB camera that it needs to help devs create 3D maps.

Qualcomm’s Project Tango smartphone is actually the second handset that we’ve seen come out of Google’s labs. The original was shown off when Project Tango was first announced in early 2014 and it featured a 5-inch display and the usual Tango bevy of sensors and cameras. We never saw much of the original Project Tango smartphone after its announcement, though, so this new Qualcomm-made handset could serve as a way to get Tango hardware into more hands and, as a result, further Project Tango’s 3D mapping efforts.

Qualcomm’s not saying when it’ll make this Project Tango smartphone available for purchase or how much it’ll cost whenever it does launch, but there is a page to register your interest in the device that says it’s “coming summer 2015.”
