Looks like Xiaomi’s Mi store test in the U.S., U.K., Germany, and France went well, because the company has announced that it’s going to officially launch its shop soon.
The Mi Store will have its official launch on June 1 at 7:00 pm PDT/10:00 pm EDT in the U.S. and June 2 at 1:00 pm CEST in Europe. As before, the store will offer a handful of accessories, but no smartphones. On offer will be a 5000mAh Mi Power Bank ($9.99), 10400mAh Mi Power Bank ($13.99), Mi Headphones ($79.99), and Mi Band ($14.99).
Xiaomi’s Android smartphones have gotten a lot of praise in the past, but unfortunately it looks like they’re not going to be sold in the U.S., U.K., Germany, or France quite yet, instead sticking to the few Asian countries that they’re already sold in. This Mi Store launch is a step in the right direction for Xiaomi, though, getting their name into the marketplaces in these countries and starting to establish a presence in them.
Did any of you pick up one of Xiaomi’s products when it held its store test earlier this month?
