U.S. Cellular hasn’t announced when the LG G4 will arrive on the shelves of its stores, but it appears that the carrier has revealed when its customers will be able to reserve a unit.
In response to a question about when the LG G4 will be available to order, U.S. Cellular’s official Twitter account has said that the G4 pre-order will start on May 29. That pre-sale will be available both in stores and online, so you’ll be able to reserve a G4 regardless of whether you feel like venturing out into the world or not.
U.S. Cellular’s not talking pricing quite yet, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the G4 priced at $199.99 on-contract at launch, much like the carrier prices other new flagship smartphones. What’s notable about U.S. Cellular’s G4 pre-order is that it means that the carrier will presumably be getting LG’s phone around the same time as the other major U.S. operators. The G3 didn’t hit U.S. Cellular until months after it launched on other carriers, so it’s nice to see that USCC customers should be getting the G4 around the same time as everyone else.
