If you’ve been interested in Google’s Nexus Player but haven’t yet bought one, a new deal may finally convince you to pull the trigger.
Sling TV today launched its app for Android TV, and to celebrate, you can get half off of a Nexus Player when you pre-pay for three months of Sling TV service. Sling TV costs $20 per month, so you’ll have to pony up $60 to get this deal. The Nexus Player normally costs $99, so if you do take advantage of the deal, the unit will end up costing you $49.50.
Overall this looks like a nice deal if you haven’t yet gotten a Nexus Player and are interested in Sling TV’s service. While you are paying $60 for three months of Sling TV service upfront, you’re saving almost that much by getting half off the Nexus Player, so the whole thing works out in the end.
