Last month, LG took the wraps off of the G4, its new flagship Android smartphone. Apparently that’s not the only flagship device that the Life’s Good crew has planned for 2015, though.
Eason Shao, LG Taiwan’s director of mobile business, apparently told Focus Taiwan that LG is planning to launch a second flagship smartphone in the second half of 2015. The goal of this strategy, Shao said, is to boost sales in Taiwan. There’s not much known about the second flagship right now, because Shao says that the hardware features for the device haven’t been nailed down yet.
LG is no stranger to the dual-flagship strategy. Last year it launched the LG G Pro 2 and the LG G3 within months of one another, with the former offering a 5.9-inch display and the latter boasting a 5.5-inch screen. We’ll have to wait and see what LG’s got planned for its second 2015 flagship, but considering what the company has done in the past, we could see another near-6-inch or more phablet aimed at folks that want a ginormous screen on their smartphone.
What would you like to see from LG’s second 2015 flagship phone?
