It sounds like that major Android Wear update that Google announced last month is now rolling out.
Google just announced that an Android Wear update is now rolling out with always-on apps, support for connecting to multiple watches with one phone, wrist gestures, and more. Yep, that sounds just like the update that Google detailed last month, which also includes Wi-Fi support that allows your watch to get notifications from your phone even if they’re apart, so long as both devices have a data connection. Google says that this feature is compatible with the LG Watch Urbane, Moto 360, Sony Smartwatch 3, and Samsung Gear Live.
This is one of Android Wear’s biggest updates yet, and it’s nice to see that it’s finally going to start appearing on watches other than the LG Watch Urbane, which launched with the update in tow. If you’ve got an Android Wear device, be sure to keep an eye out for this update in the coming days.
