Another day, another new feature added to Google’s mobile search tool.
Google has added the ability to order food from its search results. At launch, the feature supports six food delivery services — Seamless, Grubhub, Eat24, Delivery.com, BeyondMenu, and MyPizza.com — but Google says that it intends to add more services in the future.
The way that the tool works is when you search Google for some food, you’ll find a “Place an order” button in the restaurant details section. Tapping that button will let you choose which food delivery service you’d like to use and then you’ll be pushed to that service to make your order.
Food delivery services aren’t available to everyone, but for those folks that can use them, this new Google feature could reduce the time it takes for you to go from searching for the source of your next meal to actually ordering it. And when you’re hungry, why wouldn’t you want to get your food as quickly as you can?
