The Motorola Keylink is a little fob that you can use to locate your lost keys or a similarly-sized item. You wouldn’t think that a key fob would be tough to come by, but the Keylink hasn’t exactly been consistently easy to buy ever since its launch in November 2014. Thankfully, the Keylink is now back in stock.
Motorola is selling the Keylink for $24.99 in its online store. The Keylink is a small black triangle that can attach to your keys or a similar object and run for one year on a standard coin cell battery. You can use the Keylink to make your Bluetooth-connected Android or iOS phone ring from up to 100 feet away, or you can use the Motorola Connect app on your phone to see where your keys are on a map. Finally, owners with a device on Android 5.0 or higher can use the Keylink as a trusted device to keep their phone unlocked when their keys are nearby.
While the Motorola Keylink isn’t the only key fob around, its features make it a pretty neat little accessory for your smartphone. It’s a small, splash-proof gadget that can locate your keys or your phone, depending on which you’ve lost (hopefully not both), and Android 5.0 users get the added benefit of using it as a way to bypass the lock on their smartphone when their keys are around, which is likely pretty often.
