Google+ users are getting a new feature to play with today.
Google+ Collections is a feature that lets you create a group of posts based on a topic, like beer or sewing. You can then include regular posts, videos, and photos in these collections, and people can follow your collections if they’re interested in the topic that a collection is based on. Once you create a collection, you can customize it with a special name and cover photo.
This new Collections feature looks like a handy way to divide up your interests, focus on one at a time, and create a nice little playlist if you add videos. The feature is a bit reminiscent of Pinterest, but now Google+ users can use the Pinterest-style feature without having to leave their favorite Google-made social network.
To access Google+ Collections, you can open the menu on the left side of Google+ that houses your Profile, Home, Communities, Events, and more, then click on Collections and get to browsing.
