After making its official debut earlier this month, the Dell Venue 10 7000 is now available for purchase.
Dell’s online store is now offering three configurations of its new Venue 10 7000 tablet. The cheapest just the 16GB tablet at $499. If you’d like to include the keyboard dock with your order, you can do so at a price of $629 for the 16GB tablet and dock combo or $679 for the 32GB tablet. The cheapest and most expensive configurations will ship on May 4, while the 16GB tablet + keyboard dock combo will start shipping tomorrow, April 29.
The Venue 10 7000 is the big sibling to the Venue 8 7000, which launched earlier in 2015. The Venue 10 7000 has a unique design that includes a big cylinder on one side that houses front-facing speakers. Other features of the Venue 10 7000 include a 10.5-inch 2560x1600 OLED display, Intel Atom Z3580 processor,2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of storage, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.0, and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. Also included is Intel’s RealSense Depth Camera that’ll let you refocus a photo after taking it, as well as a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Dell’s new Venue 10 7000 may not be the cheapest Android tablet around, but it does offer a large, high-res display and front-facing speakers that could make it good for media consumption. Then there’s its ability to slide into a keyboard dock, which could be attractive to folks that are productive on the go and fans of ASUS’s old Transformer line of Android tablets.
