Following T-Mobile’s recent announcement that Android 5.0 for its version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 would begin rolling out this week, it seems that T-Mo is wasting no time in getting its Note 4-toting customers a Lollipop treat.
Several T-Mobile Note 4 users are reporting that Android 5.0.1 is now arriving in the form of a 1086MB over the air update. T-Mobile hasn’t posted a changelog for the update quite yet, but you Note 4 owners should expected a slightly refreshed user interface with Material Design touches, lock screen notifications, and more.
T-Mobile is the last of the major four U.S. carriers to update the Note 4 to Lollipop, and while I’m sure there are some in the Magenta army that are a bit frustrated that it took so long for the update to arrive, what matters now is that it’s here. If you’ve got a Note 4 on T-Mobile, head into Settings > About device > Software update to see if you’ve got a Lollipop waiting for you.
