It’s “New iOS 8.4 Beta” day, and unlike the last 8.4 beta release, both developers and us regular folk can get in on the fun.
Apple today released iOS 8.4 beta 2 to developers while simultaneously releasing iOS 8.4 beta 1 to members of its public Apple Beta Software Program. iOS 8.4 beta 2 is build 12H4086d and can be grabbed from the iOS Dev Center. If you’re in the Apple Beta Software Program, you can now head into Settings > General > Software Update to grab iOS 8.4 beta 1.
The first iOS 8.4 beta was released two weeks ago, and perhaps the most notable addition was a refreshed Music app with a new design, more prominent album art, a streamlined version of iTunes Radio, an Up Next queue feature, and more. It’s not yet clear what other new features iOS 8.4 might include, but more will likely be revealed as these betas trickle out to developers and Apple Beta Software Program members.
