The other day, I told you about a deal on a refurbished Galaxy S5 that was just $300 unlocked. That’s a pretty nice deal on Samsung’s 2014 flagship, but one downside to the offer was that the phone was in “fair” condition. If that detail turned you off of the deal, you may be interested in this new GS5 offer.
eBay user “qualitycellz” is offering a brand new, unlocked Samsung Galaxy S5 for $349.99. This is the AT&T version, but it’s unlocked and supports 850/900/1800/1900/2100MHz HSPA, so it should play nicely with a lot of GSM carriers. Your only option here when buying is to get a white 16GB version, but unlike the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S5 has a microSD slot that lets you add more storage if you need it.
While the Galaxy S5 doesn’t have quite as high-end a feature set as the Galaxy S6, its Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16-megapixel camera ought to be able to handle most of what you throw at it with aplomb. And hey, you can flaunt your GS5’s microSD slot and removable battery to your friends that have a GS6, which lacks both of those features.
