AT&T has been giving ASUS a home in the U.S. recently by selling devices like the PadFone X and PadFone X mini. Now Big Blue has announce that it’s going to add another ASUS device to its lineup.
The ASUS MeMO Pad 7 LTE will arrive at AT&T on April 10. Pricing will be set at $0 down and 20 payments of $8.75 each with AT&T Next, $74.99 with a two-year contract, or $174.99 without a contract. AT&T says that you’ll also be able to get the MeMO Pad 7 LTE for $0.99 when you buy any smartphone on AT&T Next. You can add the slate to your Mobile Share Value plan for $10 per month.
If you prefer prepaid, the MeMO Pad 7 LTE will also be available with GoPhone prepaid service for $174.99. Prepaid data pricing for the MeMO Pad 7 LTE is set at $25 per month for 2GB, $50 for 5GB, and $75 for 8GB.
The MeMO Pad 7 LTE is an Android 4.4.4 tablet with a 7-inch HD display and a quad-core 1.3GHz Intel Atom processor. There’s also 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, and 1GB of RAM.
At $175 without a commitment or $9 per month on AT&T Next, the ASUS MeMO Pad 7 LTE is an option for folks that want a tablet but don’t want to spend a ton of money for it. And while the 7-inch display may not make sense for folks that have a phablet, the MeMO Pad 7 LTE could make a good companion device for people that prefer small smartphones.
