Following its official debut at MWC 2015, the BlackBerry Leap is now available for pre-order.
BlackBerry is accepting pre-orders for the Leap in four regions: the U.S., the U.K., France, and Germany. Residents of Canada are told to “stay tuned,” so a pre-order may launch there soon. Pricing for the BlackBerry Leap is $275, £199.00, or €289, depending on which country you live in, and a release is scheduled for April 27.
The BlackBerry Leap is the newest BlackBerry 10 smartphone, sporting a 5-inch 1280x720 LCD screen, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, and a 2800mAh non-removable battery. The unlocked U.S. version has LTE bands 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 13, and 17 along with HSPA+ connectivity, so it should play nicely with AT&T and T-Mobile in the U.S.
If you’d like to pre-order a BlackBerry Leap, BlackBerry says that it’s current pre-sale is “limited,” so you may want to mosey over to Shop BlackBerry and secure your unit as soon as possible.
