When Microsoft launched the Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones back in February, the release was limited to a handful of entry-level and mid-range phones that met Microsoft’s requirements for system partition size. When the next update rolls out, though, it’ll be made available to quite a few more phones.
Microsoft has announced that it’s got a partition stitching feature that’ll allow it to make the Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones available to many more devices, including popular models like the Lumia 920 and Lumia 1020. The phones expected to be included in the next Windows 10 Technical Preview “flight” are:
Microsoft notes that it’s still doing some work to confirm that some phones will play nicely with the Windows 10 Technical Preview update, and it says that if a bug is discovered with a specific device during testing, the phone may be pulled from the above list. Right now, though, the update looks set to expand to a large portion of the Windows Phone user base.
