Many OnePlus One owners are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their Android 5.0 updates, which are slated to roll out before the end of March. That’s not the only big piece of software that’s hitting the OnePlus One this month, though.
A port of Jolla’s Sailfish OS is now available for the OnePlus One. Martin Brook has released the port, which is currently in an alpha state. You can flash the update right now if you’d like, but it’s worth noting that features like Wi-Fi, the camera, and Android app support are all currently broken. If you’d prefer to watch the software from afar, you can check out the video above.
Because it’s in an alpha state and is missing some pretty core features, you’re probably not going to want to use this Salifish OS port as the daily driver on your OnePlus One. However, if you’ve got a OnePlus One and are comfortable with flashing ROMs, it could be worth a quick look, especially if you don’t live in one of the handful of regions in which the Jolla smartphone is available.
