If you’re big on taking photos with your phone and sharing them to social networks, then you’re going to want to check out Instagram’s new app.

Layout from Instagram is a new app that’ll help you combine multiple photos from your Camera Roll into a single collage. As you scroll through your photos to look for images to include in your collage, the app will show custom layouts for your images, and you can also select a Faces option to display only shots with people in them. Once you’ve got your photos selected, you can rearrange them, pinch and pull to adjust size, and rotate the photos as well. 

Layout also includes a Photo Booth feature that’ll let you instantly snap images and see them appear in a collage.

There are already apps that let you combine photos in your collage, but the fact that Layout comes from Instagram ought to help it quickly get attention from photo sharers. The app looks fairly easy to use, and it’s smart that Instagram included a Photo Booth feature so that users can fire up Layout when they want to snap photos and create a collage rather than launching a Camera app and then importing them into Layout.

Layout from Instagram is launching today on iOS. Instagram says that an Android version will be released “in the coming months.”
