T-Mobile’s Un-carrier 9.0 may have a big focus on business, but there’s some stuff in there for consumers too.
T-Mobile Carrier Freedom will see the big magenta carrier pay any outstanding payments that switchers might have. That includes AT&T Next, Verizon Edge, and any leasing programs. T-Mobile says that it’ll pay up to $650 per line up to 10 lines.
The final big piece of Un-carrier 9.0 is The Un-contract. This is a guarantee that your rates won’t go up and that your allotments won’t change. With The Un-contract, T-Mobile says that all of its promotional plans become permanent. That includes unlimited data, though T-Mobile CEO John Legere says that unlimited plans are only guaranteed for two years.
The Un-contract will go into effect on March 22 for all existing T-Mobile Simple Choice customers.
