Just a couple of weeks after Sony took the wraps off of the Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia M4 Aqua at MWC 2015, new details on another new Sony smartphone have surfaced.
A device referred to as the Sony “Xperia Cosmos” has been leaked by @upleaks. The two images show a full-touch phone with rounded corners and a side-mounted power button, a big front-facing camera with a flash, and Android 5.0 running beneath Sony’s custom user interface. We can also see that the device refers to itself as the “Xperia Cosmos” in its Bluetooth menu.
Spec details on this Xperia Cosmos are light, but a previous tweet from @upleaks claims that the device will be powered by a MediaTek processor.
It’s tough to make out many details about this Xperia Cosmos from the leaked photos, but its lower bezel appears to be a bit thinner than other recent Sony-made smartphones. It’s also worth noting that while it’s not known if Cosmos is the final name of this phone, most other Sony phones have names like “Xperia E4” and “Xperia Z3,” so it wouldn’t surprise me if Cosmos is just a codename.
