Just a day after we found some photos of what may be Samsung’s new Galaxy S6, additional photos of the upcoming Android flagship have surfaced.
User “graaler” has posted two images that may show the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in the wild. The device on the right appears to be the standard Galaxy S6, and it looks like the model that we saw in yesterday’s leak. This GS6 has a larger home button than previous Galaxy S phones, and around back is a camera that sticks out from the rear of the phone and a flash to the right of the shooter.
To the left of the Galaxy S6 is a second device that looks like the Galaxy S6 Edge. The phone’s screen appears to be curved on both sides, but unlike the curved edge display on the Galaxy Note Edge, this GS6 Edge doesn’t appear to have separate info on its side displays. Instead, the curved edge display seems to be just an extension of the main screen.
Because the Galaxy Note Edge’s side display was touted as being beneficial because it offered app shortcuts and could display tickers, alerts, messages, and more, it’s interesting to see that the Galaxy S6 Edge’s side screen appears to just be an extension of the main screen. However, it’s possible that the side screens on the GS6 Edge will be able to display information like tickers or notifications for some apps. We’ll just have to wait until March 1 to find out for sure.
