Samsung’s Galaxy S6 teasers have been pretty cryptic, with hints that the new device may have an impressive camera and metal construction. Now Samsung is switching things up, though, and having a little fun with its teasers.
Samsung’s Norwegian division has posted a page called “Is This The Next?” with six different rumors about its next Galaxy smartphone. Samsung has taken these rumors to comedic levels, though. For example, one rumor suggests that “Samsung Galaxy display is supposed to reach onto 3 sides,” and the image shows a device with three separate, triangular screens. Another rumor says “One feature that we might see is forward-facing stereo speakers,” and Samsung has created an oval-shaped phone with speakers that extend out from its sides.
We typically don’t see manufacturers acknowledge rumors about their new products at all, so it’s nice to see Samsung recognizing the rumors and excitement about its new flagship smartphone and having some fun with them too. As for what the next Galaxy might really have, the rumor mill suggests that we’ll see a 5.1-inch display, metal design, and Samsung’s own Exynos processor.
Samsung will officially reveal its next Galaxy on March 1.
