Just a couple of weeks out from what’s expected to be the official debut of the HTC One M9, additional support for the official name of the device appears to have surfaced.
References to the “HTC One M9” appear to have been present on the Dutch version of HTC’s website recently. The folks at TechTastic [Google Translate] discovered multiple references to “HTC One M9” and “One Life” on the page, with the latter expected to be an advertising campaign for HTC’s new phone. Both references are gone now, but looking up the cached version of the page reveal them.
While still unconfirmed, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see HTC stick to its “HTC One” branding for its flagship Android phone. What’s interesting is that the “M9” in HTC’s source code isn’t in parentheses, while references to the “HTC One (M8)” include them. Perhaps HTC will ditch the parentheses this time around? It won’t be long before we find out.
