Saygus pinged us today to announce that the Saygus V2 will cost $549. The company notes that that’s a “limited introductory price,” though, and that the standard pricing will be $599. Pre-order registration for the Saygus V2 has been extended to 12:00 pm MST on February 2, and actual pre-orders will begin on the Saygus website at 11:59 pm MST that same day.
Folks that pre-register for the Saygus V2 will get a second battery and a customized, replaceable glass screen protector.
The Saygus V2 features a 5-inch 1920x1080 display with Gorilla Glass 4, a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 21-megapixel rear and 13-megapixel front cameras, 3GB of RAM, Qi wireless charging, and a removable 3100mAh battery. It’s also got 64GB of built-in storage and two — yes, two — microSDXC slots that’ll let you expand the V2’s storage to 320GB. Finally, the phone is powered by Android 4.4.4 and supports root access out of the box.
So yeah, you’re getting a lot of phone for your money. And if you pre-register, you can get a second battery, which could come in handy when you’re out, about, and away from a wall charger for an extended period of time.
