Following the release of several generations of PadFone overseas, ASUS’s phone-and-tablet docking combo finally made its way to a U.S. carrier with its launch on AT&T in 2014. If you were intrigued by the PadFone concept but not enough to pay full price for a unit, well, you can now get the device on the cheap.
The AT&T-branded ASUS PadFone X is now being sold on eBay for $199.99 without a commitment. That means that you’re getting both the PadFone and the PadFone station without a contract for the same price that the pair cost on-contract in June 2014. As a quick refresher, here are the devices specs:
PadFone
PadFone Station
This PadFone X comes unlocked, meaning that it’s ready for use with GSM carriers. Since it’s AT&T-branded, though, it’s worth noting the cellular bands that the device supports. This PadFone X supports 850/900/1800/1900MHz GSM, 850/900/1900/2100MHz 3G, and bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/17 for 4G LTE.
It may not be the newest Android phone on the block, but the ASUS PadFone X is still a decently-specced smartphone, and being able to snag both the phone and a docking tablet for just $200 without a contract is a pretty nice deal if you’re looking for an affordable device. If that sounds like you, hit up the eBay link below and get to buying.
