Google’s done a pretty good job of bringing its Android apps over to iOS, and today it’s brought another big app to the App Store’s virtual shelves.
Chrome Remote Desktop is now available from Apple’s App Store. As its name suggests, the app lets you securely access your computers from your iPhone or iPad. To do so, you’ll first need to set up the Chrome Remote Desktop app on your computer, and then open Chrome Remote Desktop on your iOS device.
The Chrome Remote Desktop app is a universal app for both iPhone and iPad. It weighs in at just 9MB in size and requires iOS 7.0 or later.
While this may not be an app that everyone uses every day, it’s great to see Chrome Remote Desktop arrive on iOS. Not only can you use it to access your own computer when you’re away from it, but you could also use it to tunnel in to the computer of a loved one for easier troubleshooting. Now you can offer tech support year round rather than just on holidays!
