Most mobile manufacturers now elect to launch their flagship smartphones at their own events nowadays, but it looks like LG is going to buck that trend at CES 2015 in Las Vegas next week.
Posters have already gone up at the Las Vegas Convention Center that show the LG G Flex 2 along with the tagline “Redefining the Curve.” Just like the original G Flex, this new model has a curved body and a face that’s dominated by a touchscreen. The G Flex 2 is also expected to be powered by a Snapdragon processor, but outside of those few details, the G Flex 2’s spec list is a mystery.
Qualcomm recently teased that a new LG smartphone will debut at CES with a Snapdragon processor, and the teaser image shows what looks to be LG’s rear-mounted button setup too. It’s looking increasingly likely that the G Flex 2 is the phone that Qualcomm was teasing, but we’ll have to wait until next week before we know for sure. One thing that’s for certain, though, is that CES 2015 just got a lot more exciting for smartphone lovers.
