Leaks have shown that Samsung is planning to update devices like the Galaxy Note 3, Note 4, S4, and S5 to Android 5.0, but we haven’t heard much on the matter from Samsung itself. That is, until today.
Samsung’s Finnish arm has apparently confirmed that the Galaxy S4, S5, Note II, Note 3, and Note 4 will all be updated to Android 5.0. That’s according to the update page on the company’s own website, which was recently updated to reflect its update plans.
Most of these updates don’t come as much of a surprise. After all, I’m sure that there would be a lot of upset customers if Samsung didn’t update devices like the Galaxy S4 and Note 3 to Lollipop. What is kind of surprising — in a good way — is that Sammy also plans to treat the Note II to Android 5.0. Exactly when that update will arrive remains to be seen, but getting this news isn’t a bad way for Note II users to end 2014.
