Reports of the Nexus 5’s demise have been exaggerated. Just a week after there was confusion about whether or not the device was done for, it’s reappeared in the Google Play store.
The Nexus 5 is now available from Google Play with 16GB or 32GB of storage for $349.00 and $399.00, respectively. As far as colors go, you can get any one that you want so long as it’s black. Google says that orders will leave its warehouse in one to two business days.
While the Nexus 5 is starting to get a little long in the tooth, it’s still a respectable Android smartphone with a great no-contract price. It’s also got Android 5.0 Lollipop and is much more manageable to use with one hand than its Nexus 6 sibling. It’s great to see Google continue to offer the Nexus 5 for folks that want a new Nexus phone but feel that the N6 is just a smidge too large.
