Nokia Lumia 635 will soon launch at Sprint, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile

Sprint hasn’t exactly been the biggest Windows Phone supporter over the years, but soon the Now Network’s WP drought will come to an end with the launch of a new Lumia smartphone.

The Nokia Lumia 635 will soon launch on Sprint and its prepaid subsidiaries, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile. It’ll arrive on Boost and Virgin first, launching on December 23 for $99.99 without a contract. Sprint will begin sales of the Lumia 635 on January 16 for a price that’ll be announced later.

As its model number suggests, the Lumia 635 is a fairly entry-level phone. It’s got a 4.5-inch 854x480 ClearBlack LCD screen, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 8GB of storage, a microSD card slot, 512MB of RAM and a 5-megapixel rear camera. It’ll come with Windows Phone 8.1 preloaded and will support Sprint’s LTE and its Sprint Spark/Enhanced LTE offerings.

While the Lumia 635 isn’t exactly a super high-end phone, it’s still an impressive smartphone for the price. Plus, considering how little support for Windows Phone we’ve seen from Sprint, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile, it’s exciting to see any Windows Phone device launch on those operators.
