We’ve seen a lot of patent agreements lately, including deals between HTC and Nokia as well as LG and Google. Now we’ve got another to add to the list.
Google and Verizon Communications have reached a long-term patent cross-licensing deal to reduce the chances that they face patent litigation in the future. The agreement covers “a broad range of products and technologies.”
Considering how many patent lawsuits that were thrown around in the wireless world just a few years ago, it’s nice to see more companies striking patent cross-licensing agreements. It means that we can worry less about lawsuits and focus more on creating awesome products.
