NVIDIA announced last month that it planned to release Half-Life 2: Episode One for its SHIELD tablet and that owners of the 32GB LTE-enabled model would receive the game for free. Well today that game has arrived.
Half-Life 2: Episode One is now available for the NVIDIA SHIELD tablet, expanding upon the story from the base Half-Life 2 game. The game is available only on the SHIELD tablet and requires a controller to play. Pricing is set at $7.99, but as promised, anyone that bought a 32GB LTE SHIELD tablet can get the game for free.
Half-Life 2: Episode One may not be the newest game around, but it’s still impressive to see it running on tablet. And because you can use a real controller to play the game, you don’t need to worry about trying to adjust to wonky on-screen touch controls.
