Nexus 5 owners, your time has come.

Google has posted the Nexus 5’s Android 5.0.1 LRX22C factory image, which is the same build that’s been rolling out to other Nexus devices recently. You can flash that image now and move to Android 5.0.1 if you’d like, though you should be warned that flashing a factory image will totally wipe your device.

If you’d prefer to sideload the over the air (OTA) update instead, you can do that too. The link for the update has been pulled from Google’s servers and is available from the folks at Android Police.

While Android 5.0.1 is a fairly small bump from the Android 5.0 update that’s been available for a few weeks now, it’s still nice to see the Nexus 5’s Android 5.0.1 update being made available. The Nexus 6’s size and price tag likely convinced many Nexus 5 owners to stick with their N5 rather than upgrade, so now they get to be on the same update that they would be had they upgraded.
