OnePlus has shown that it’s interested in offering a quality audio experience for its users by offering two pairs of earphones. Now the company is expanding its aural efforts to the OnePlus One itself.

OnePlus and Cyanogen, Inc. are partnering with Waves Audio to add MaxxAudio technology to the OnePlus One. MaxxAudio is a package of psychoacoustic sound enhancements that OnePlus says will allow for “deeper bass, clearer highs, louder volume levels and more immersive sound from speakers, headphones and connected Bluetooth devices.” The MaxxAudio feature will be integrated into the OnePlus One’s AudioFX settings and will be custom tuned for the OnePlus One’s speakers as well as OnePlus’s Silver Bullet and JBL E1+ earphones.

OnePlus says that the MaxxAudio suite of enhancements will be included in a OnePlus One update that’ll roll out in January.

We’ll have to wait until the OnePlus One’s update rolls out in January to see exactly how these MaxxAudio enhancements perform, but this sounds like a hefty addition to the One’s feature set.
