Sprint’s iPhone for Life program kicked off in early September, allowing Sprint customers to lease an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus for 24 months and then upgrade to a new model. Sprint expanded the program to include a 12-month lease option in October, and now it includes a 30-month tier as well.
Sprint customers can now lease an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus starting at $18 per month. Here’s how the 30-month lease pricing breaks down:
As with the other iPhone for Life plans, Sprint customers that sign up for this 30-month tier can trade in their iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus at the end of 30 months and upgrade to a new model. They can also buy the device outright or continue on with their current iPhone on a month-to-month basis.
There’s no question that 30 months is a long time to hold on to a smartphone, especially when you consider that most companies are upgrading their flagship phones on a yearly basis. The upside of this 30-month iPhone for Life lease is that its monthly payments are a bit cheaper than the shorter lease options; for example, the iPhone 6 16GB starts at $30 per month with a 12-month lease and $20 per month on a 24-month lease.
Would you consider signing up for a leasing program similar to iPhone for Life?
