YouTube Music Key, the video service’s new music offering, is now allowing folks to sign up to beta test its service sometime in the near future. If you’re currently a Google Play Music subscriber, though, you’ll automatically gain access next week.
Google is sending out emails to existing Play Music subscribers to let them know that next week, they’ll automatically get total access to the YouTube Music Key beta for free. This will allow them to watch ad-free music videos, keep those tunes playing in the background and download videos for offline viewing.
Signing up for a YouTube Music Key subscription also gives you access to Google Play Music, so it’s not surprising to hear that Google is recruiting existing Play Music subscribers to help beta test YouTube Music Key. That said, I’m sure that a lot of Google Play Music folks will be happy to know that they’ll automatically gain access to YouTube Music Key next week.
