Google announced earlier this week that Android 5.0 will roll out to Nexus devices soon, and then it posted the Lollipop factory images for the Nexus 5, 7, 9 and 10. Now it’s the Nexus 4’s time for a Lollipop treat.
The Android 5.0 factory image for the Nexus 4 — aka “occam” — is now live on Google’s developer website. The image will update your Nexus 4 to build LRX21T.
As with the other Nexus factory images, it’s worth noting that loading this Android 5.0 image onto your Nexus 4 will wipe it completely. You’ll also need to use the command line to manually flash the update yourself. If you’re not comfortable with both of those things, then you’re probably better off waiting for the over the air update.
If you decide to take the plunge and load Android 5.0 onto your Nexus 4, be sure to share your first impressions of the update with us!
