There’s been a lot of talk about Samsung and Android 5.0 Lollipop lately, but that’s not the topic of today’s news. No, we’re talking about the Galaxy S4 and Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
AT&T has announced that it’s now pushing Android 4.4.4 over the air to its version of the Samsung Galaxy S4. The update bumps the GS4 up to build KTU84P.I337UCUFNJ4 and includes the following changes:
AT&T says that the update weighs in around 392MB-488MB, depending on which version of Android you’re running when you install the update. To snag this update from the sky, connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot and go into Settings > About device > Software update > Check for updates.
Obviously it’s kind of a bummer that the AT&T-flavored Galaxy S4 is just now getting Android 4.4.4, days after Android 5.0 began rolling out to other devices. It looks like Samsung is planning to push Android 5.0 to the Galaxy S4 at some point too, though, so at least you GS4 folk will eventually get to try Lollipop.
