Following Google’s official announcement of Android 5.0 yesterday, Motorola confirmed that it would be updating many of its smartphones to Lollipop. Now Sony has done the same.
Sony has revealed that it will offer Android 5.0 Lollipop to its “entire premium Z series.” That includes the following devices:
Obviously the timing of these update releases will vary depending on the model and the carrier that your device is on. Sony says that the first device to be updated will be the Z Ultra Google Play edition, which isn’t a shock since GPe devices are always updated quickly. The core Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 devices will follow at the start of 2015.
