After teasing us by appearing on Sony Mobile’s US site without an “Add to Cart” button last week, the Xperia Z3 Compact is now officially available for purchase.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact can now be bought directly from Sony’s online store. The device is priced at $529.99 unlocked and contract-free and is available in black, white, green and orange. Unfortunately, all four variants are currently backordered, but at least now you can actually buy a unit if you’d like one. Sony says that the ship date is currently “unknown.”
The Xperia Z3 Compact’s spec breakdown is as follows:
We haven’t heard of any US carrier that’s planning to offer the Xperia Z3 Compact at a subsidized rate, so this may be the only way for you US folk to make Sony’s small flagship your own. That’s kind of a bummer for folks that’d prefer to pay for the phone with a subsidy or in monthly installments, but hey, full retail availability is better than no availability at all.
