AT&T today announced that it’ll be expanding its 4G LTE lineup later this week with a pair of new products: one smartphone and one hotspot.
First up, the Moto G LTE will launch on October 10 for 24 payments of $7.50 each with AT&T Next 18, 24 payments of $9 each with AT&T Next 12, $79.99 with a one-year contract — yes, a one-year contract — or $179.99 commitment-free. This Moto G LTE is the same model that debuted back in June, offering a 4.5-inch 720p display, quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 5-megapixel rear and 1.3-megapixel front cameras, 2070mAh battery and 4G LTE connectivity.
While it’s kind of a bummer that AT&T is launching the original Moto G and not the updated model, the older model does come with LTE connectivity, a feature that’s absent from the Moto G (2014). The good news is that AT&T will price it affordably and will even offer it with a one-year contract, which is pretty rare these days.
The second new device headed to AT&T is the AT&T Velocity hotspot. It, too, is launching on October 10, with pricing set at $19.99 with a two-year contract, $94.99 with a one-year commitment and $169.99 contract-free. The ZTE-made Velocity features a 2.4-inch touchscreen, support for up to 10 device connections and a 2800mAh battery.
