A couple of days ago, we got an early peek at the HTC Desire Eye, an upcoming Android smartphone that’s expected to be equipped with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. The problem with that leak is that it showed parts of the Desire Eye but didn’t give us a clear glimpse at its entire body. Thankfully a couple of other leaks have come along to fix that.
Twitter user @HTCFamily_RU has posted a couple of official-looking press images of the HTC Desire Eye in red and blue. The red model features a white back panel and red sides, while the blue model has a dark blue rear panel and light blue sides. Both units are shown to have 13-megapixel f/2.0 wide angle front-facing cameras with dual LED flashes.
The HTC Desire Eye is rumored to be marketed as the “ultimate selfie phone” thanks to its 13-megapixel front-facing shooter, which would be one of the highest-specced front-facing shooters that we’ve seen to date. The Desire Eye is also rumored to include a 5.2-inch 1920x1080 display, 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 13-megapixel rear camera, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a 2400mAh battery. If all of those specs hold true, the Desire Eye could be an attractive handset to more than just the selfie-obsessed crowd.
Now that we’ve gotten a better look at the HTC Desire Eye, are you at all interested in this new HTC smartphone?
