Well, that didn’t take long. Just hours after HTC posted a video teaser for its October 8 event, the device that’s likely to be unveiled there appears to have been fully revealed.
Reddit user “fodawim” went poking around the RECamera site that was named with HTC’s teaser video and managed to dig up a couple of images. Both show what looks to be a handheld camera that’s got a curve and faces the user. It’s been likened to a piece of PVC pipe, which isn’t too far off.
The device shown in the images appears to line up with a white object that can be briefly seen in HTC’s video teaser at around the 3 second mark. Check out a screengrab from the clip below.
Details on HTC’s camera are still light, but the video teaser makes it look like a GoPro-style camera that can withstand some exposure to water and other action. The device itself looks pretty simple and small, which would make it easy to carry around and capture selfie videos with. Thankfully, we’ve only got a couple more weeks until all is revealed.
