What part of iOS 8 are you looking forward to most?

As Wednesday, September 17 moves along, people with iPhones, iPads and iPod touches that fit a specific criteria are going to gain access to a new version of the mobile operating system running on their device. No, it’s not Windows Phone 8.1. Apple will officially release iOS 8 to the public, following weeks of developer betas, and gain access to all of the great features that the Cupertino-based company showcased way back in June of this year.

As Apple put it back at the Worldwide Developers Conference, this is a huge release for Apple’s software. There are a ton of new features, new APIs for developers and plenty more under the hood. Yes, I know that some of you out there are probably already yelling at the screen, telling me that Apple “copied Google” and whatever else, but I honestly don’t care about that. As I’ve stated in the past, and as you are more than aware yourself, everyone copies everyone else in some fashion or another. It happens.

So, instead of being upset that Apple copied Google, I’m going to focus on the positives here: iOS users are gaining some great features, getting tweaks to others to make them even better, and there is even a pair of new iPhones coming out later this week to compliment the new software. So, for anyone who doesn’t outright hate Apple and their products, and who expects to get themselves a new iDevice or new iSoftware this week, it’s probably a pretty exciting time.

Back to those features, though.

Despite the fact that Apple saw record-breaking numbers for their preorders for the new handsets, there are people out there that aren’t going to upgrade just yet. (Maybe they’re waiting another year.) And, there are people out there who are indeed planning on picking up an iPhone 6 or an iPhone 6 Plus, but who care more about the software than the new hardware.

There is a lot to be excited about for iOS users, like third-party keyboard support, for instance. Or features like interactive notifications, widgets and Extensions that will add more interconnectedness between apps. There is even more to look forward to. And I want to know which feature, or features, you’re looking forward to most.
