When Motorola teased the bevy of announcements that it’s made this morning, we saw that it was planning a new Moto X, new Moto G, the Moto 360 and some sort of mysterious Bluetooth headset. Now that the first three devices have been unveiled, the veil has been lifted on that Bluetooth headset as well.
The Moto Hint is a small wireless earbud that pairs with a smartphone over Bluetooth and lets you get answers to questions like “What’s today’s forecast?” and “How do I get home?” Just as you’d expect from a Bluetooth headset, you can also hear notifications, conduct phone calls and send messages with the hint.
The Moto Hint will go on sale this fall for $149.99 and will be available in several different styles, including wood finishes and light and dark canvas. The Moto Hint is charged using a charge case, shown below, that carries two charges for up to 10 hours of talk time.
Bluetooth headsets have always been viewed as kind of dorky, but the Moto Hint is small enough and stylish enough that it may be able to shake that stigma. With its small size and pass-through audio, I could see wearing the Moto Hint all day with very few other people noticing that it’s there.
Motorola today also outed the Power Pack Micro. As its name suggests, the device is a small battery pack that can be attached to your keys and provide you with some juice using its 1500mAh battery. You can also use the Power Pack Micro and Motorola Keylink to make your Power Pack Micro beep so that you can find your keys.
The Power Pack Micro will be available in dark canvas, light canvas, spice, red, violet, lemon lime, turquoise and royal blue color options. The device will go on sale today for $39.99.
