We got a peek at the HTC One (M8) for Windows earlier this month when an official render was spotted on Verizon’s website. The downside? That leak only included the front of the device. The good news is that another One (M8) for Windows leak has surfaced that offers a look at both the front and rear of the upcoming Windows Phone handset.
The folks at Neowin have shared some clear press images of the HTC One (M8) for Windows that reveal both its front and back sides. The front of the unit looks just like the leak that we saw earlier this month, complete with BoomSound speakers and “Verizon Wireless” on the phone app. Meanwhile, the back of the unit has a Duo Camera setup as well as Verizon Wireless, 4G LTE and Windows Phone tattoos.
The HTC One (M8) for Windows is expected to be similar to the Android-powered HTC One (M8), both in terms of looks and specs. That means that the One (M8) for Windows will reportedly sport a 5-inch 1080p display, UltraPixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 32GB of storage, microSD slot, 2GB of RAM and a 2600mAh battery.
While some folks might be disappointed that HTC is recycling its Android flagship for use with Windows Phone 8.1, the One (M8) for Windows will still be a flagship smartphone for Microsoft’s platform that ought to be attractive to anyone interested in Windows Phone and its Live Tiles.
The One (M8) for Windows is rumored to be launching on Verizon this Thursday, August 21.
