HTC One (E8) headed to Sprint, leaked promo video shows

HTC announced the One (E8) a couple of months ago, revealing a device that takes the design of the flagship One (M8) and replaces its metal frame with a polycarbonate one. We haven’t heard any official announcements regarding a launch of the One (E8) in the U.S. quite yet, but a new video that’s surfaced suggests that the One (E8) will eventually call Sprint “home.”

Sprint today posted a promo video of the HTC One (E8) to its official YouTube channel. The clip highlights several of the One (E8)’s features, such as its design, screen, front-facing BoomSound speakers and its 13-megapixel rear camera. Unfortunately, there aren’t any launch details included in the promo.

As a quick refresher, the HTC One (E8) features a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a 2600mAh battery. It’s also packing HTC’s well-known BoomSound front-facing speakers and Sense user interface. We can also see in the video that the One (E8) will support the Sprint Spark tri-band LTE service.

While it may not have the same metal body or Duo Camera as its One (M8) sibling, the One (E8) still boasts a respectable feature set that could make for a really compelling device depending on how HTC and Sprint price it. Here’s to hoping that the appearance of this promo video means that Sprint is almost ready to officially announce its version of the One (E8).
