Samsung recently told us to “Note the date” for its upcoming September 3 event, a tease that a new Galaxy Note device could be shown there. Now Samsung has seemingly confirmed that the Galaxy Note 4 will be making its debut at that shindig.
Samsung’s Chinese arm has posted a new Galaxy Note promo video to its website that depicts two parents getting into a fight and then getting back together thanks to a message that their son made using a Galaxy Note 3 and sent to the mother. At the end of the clip, the words “Galaxy Note 4” appear in a search box and Samsung mentions a September 3 announcement, going on to urge viewers to sign up to learn more.
If you don’t feel like waiting until September 3 rolls around to get the skinny on Samsung’s new phablet, though, you may not have to. Indonesian retailer Erafone has put up a product page for the Galaxy Note 4 that includes a full spec rundown:
Obviously nothing is official until Samsung says it is, but this leaked spec list seems plausible, with upgrades from the Note 3 that include a bumped up screen resolution, more RAM and an updated processor. The good news is that we’re only a few weeks away from knowing for sure exactly what makes the Note 4 tick. Here’s to hoping that Samsung is planning to put the thing into our hands shortly thereafter.
